Observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will observe Partition Horrors Remembrance Day to commemorate the sufferings, sacrifices and resilience of millions affected by the Partition of India in 1947.

As part of the observance, an exhibition documenting the human stories, experiences and historical memories associated with the Partition will be inaugurated on 14 August 2026. The exhibition aims to provide an opportunity to reflect on one of the most defining events in India’s history and to remember those who endured displacement, loss and immense hardship during that period.
