Every year, International Mother Language Day is observed on February 21st to highlight the cultural and linguistic diversity in the country. UNESCO recognised the importance of this day at the General Assembly in 1999. Department of Languages and the Center for Kannada Regional Languages, MAHE, will celebrate International Mother Language Day (Matribhasha Diwas) from 21 to 23 February 2023. The event will be inaugurated by Dr P Giridhar Kini, Registrar Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Manipal.

Date & Time: 21 TO 23 February 2023, 04:30 p.m. onwards

Venue: Department of Languages, 6th floor, Advanced Research Center (ARC) MAHE, Manipal
