Capt Brijesh Chowta Visits MAHE Manipal, Applauds its Legacy & Visionaries

Manipal, June 14, 2025: Captain Brijesh Chowta, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Dakshina Kannada, visited the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal today.
During his visit, Captain Chowta interacted with MAHE’s leadership team and students. Recognizing MAHE’s role as a catalyst for making coastal Karnataka an education and healthcare hub since the 1950s, Captain Chowta said, “MAHE is a pride of our region, and its work in education and healthcare is inspiring. We are committed to working together to ensure our youth have access to world-class opportunities.”
Dr H S Ballal, Pro Chancellor, MAHE, said, “We are honoured by the visit of Captain Brijesh Chowta. His inspiring words and keen interest in the work being done at MAHE will further motivate our students and researchers to pursue excellence with greater zeal.”
Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M D Venkatesh VSM (Retd.), Vice Chancellor, MAHE, also remarked, “Captain Chowta’s insights and appreciation reaffirm MAHE’s role as a beacon of academic and research excellence in the country.”
