On World Environment Day, MIT Manipal, the NSS wing, and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) came together to host a series of impactful events in collaboration with the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Kannada Sahitya Parishad, and Namma Mane Namma Mara. These celebrations underscored our commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.
Various fruit saplings were planted across the campus and surrounding areas, contributing to the green cover and promoting biodiversity. A notable event was also organized by Mr. Rathnakar Samath, Administrative Officer, where staff members enthusiastically planted various fruit saplings at Vajravana,Manipal. This initiative not only aimed at environmental conservation but also at creating a sustainable source of fresh fruits for the community.
MIT plans to continue its commitment to environmental conservation through regular tree planting drives, awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities, continuing the tradition of environmental consciousness. The success of these events demonstrates the potential for collective action to bring about meaningful change. MIT Manipal and MAHE are proud to lead by example, inspiring others to join the movement for a greener planet, said Crd (Dr.) Anil Rana, Director of MIT.
