In a remarkable celebration of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, the Department of Humanities and Management, MIT Manipal, in collaboration with FIS Global, Dlabs Hyderabad, and Young Indians, Mangalore, successfully hosted FINENT 25, a one-day conclave centered around Fintech and Entrepreneurship. Held on April 4, 2025, the event brought together visionaries, industry leaders, and aspiring innovators under one roof.
The conclave was inaugurated by Mr. Madhav Nair, CEO of Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (India), who shared his journey from engineering to banking and emphasized the importance of adaptability and lifelong learning. Mr. Ramkumar Narayanan of FIS Global highlighted the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and social good in shaping the fintech future. Eminent speakers like Mr. Upendra Namburi, Mr. Shiv Ram Krishna Pande, Dr. Varadharaju Janardhanan and others inspired students with insights on AI, cryptocurrency, leadership, and innovation.
A vibrant panel discussion moderated by Mr. Venu Madhav explored ways to nurture India’s fintech startup ecosystem, bringing together experts from BlackRock, Equifax, and SP Jain School of Global Management.
The event concluded with a heartfelt valedictory, calling students to dream beyond boundaries, echoing the pioneering vision of MAHE’s founder, Dr. TMA Pai. FINENT 25 stood as a testament to MIT’s commitment to holistic, forward-thinking education.
