The Department of Periodontology, MCODS, Manipal, organized a CDE program titled “Soft tissue augmentation”, on 2^nd May 2024. The resource person was Dr. Vikender Singh Yadav,  Additional Professor at Centre for Dental Education and Research, AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr.Yadav’s clinical thrust area include periodontal plastic microsurgery. He has delivered several lectures, conducted various workshops and live surgical demonstrations on periodontal plastic surgical procedures.

His innovative research and publications have garnered international acclaim, making him a ‘sought after’ speaker and educator in the field.

Thirty participants attended the program, including faculty, interns, and postgraduates from MCODS, Manipal, and Mangalore. The session was highly informative, featuring a live surgical demonstration and discussion. Additionally, a hands-on workshop was conducted using an animal jaw model. The entire session was interactive and enlightening for all attendees.
