Free oral health check for students on National Science Day

Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, MCODS, Manipal celebrated National Science Day on February 28, 2016 by providing oral health checkup to students and giving them free health cards for treatment. Dr. Deepika Pai, Associate Professor and Dr. Mariam Sophia Lecturer supervised the event in which 174 children and 24 teachers from 11 schools in and around Udupi and Manipal took part.

The students were educated on the scope of dentistry as a career opportunity. They were also told about tobacco abuse, awareness on child abuse, oral habits and health care delivered by pedodontists in Pediatric and Preventive dentistry using posters.
