The Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) Programme is designed to cultivate leadership and management skills tailored to the healthcare sector. Capacity Building

Our MHA students receive extensive training at the renowned Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. Established in the year 1961, with 2032 beds, is one of the largest private healthcare centers in India.. Spread over 11,25, 000 sq. ft. , Kasturba Hospital caters to an average of 3000 outpatients and 200 admissions each day.

Programme Duration

The Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) is a full-time, two-year postgraduate program featuring four semesters and a full semester dedicated to project/ thesis work and internship.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass with a bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably, health sciences) from a UGC-recognized University  or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government of India with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks  (or equivalent). Candidates who are submitting their score card of CAT /CMAT/MAT/XAT or an equivalent  aptitude test, and/or with MBBS degree from any UGC recognized university, will be given additional weightage scores during the personal interview.

Candidates are expected to complete all the academic requirements (classes, examinations and other assessments) of their bachelor's degree on or before 31st July, of the year of admission.

    No, there is no dedicated MHA entrance exam required for admission to the Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH). Instead, eligible candidates can appear for a Personal Interview (PI) or for PGCUET 2026 and submit their scorecard. Those submitting their score card of CAT /CMAT/MAT/XAT or an equivalent aptitude test, and/or with MBBS degree from any UGC recognised university, will be given additional weightage scores during the PI. Additionally, MAHE offers scholarships under various categories, many of which are subject to candidate eligibility, such as Merit Scholarship for Konkani-speaking students and Merit Scholarships for the wards of Indian Military and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
