Childrens Day & Pedodontist’s Day celebrations

On the occasion of Children’s Day which is also celebrated as Pedodontist’s Day in India, as a part of community engagements  for building stronger communities, a patient education booklet  titled “ Taking Care of Your Child’s Teeth” was released by Dr. Dilip G Naik, Pro Vice Chancellor, MAHE (Mangalore Campus). Dr. Ashita Uppoor, Dean, MCODS, Mangalore and Dr. Premalatha Rai, Associate Dean, graced the occasion. A Panel Discussion on career options after post-graduation in Pediatric Dentistry titled, “Post-Graduation in Pediatric Dentistry: When, Why, How”, was moderated by Dr. Ashwin Rao, Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry. Dr. Shanti Swarup, Dr. Vidya Chandran, and Dr. Shweta Rao, Post graduate Alumni of the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, enlightened the under graduate students  regarding scope of Pediatric Dentistry. The program was well appreciated and attended by 108 participants.
