Resin & POP Workshop
An IQAC Initiative
February 07, 2026
The Department of Design at MSAP conducted a two-day “Resin & POP Workshop” on 6th and 7th February 2026 at the Model Making and Carpentry Lab for B.Des Fashion Design students (IV and VI Semester). The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Sukesha B. C, Sculptor and MFA Gold Medalist, who brought hands-on expertise in material-based art and design practices.
The workshop focused on experiential learning through demonstrations and guided exercises, introducing students to techniques such as resin handling, POP moulding, casting, and surface texturing. Students engaged in material exploration and sculptural form development, gaining insights into material behavior, safety practices, and innovative applications in design prototyping.
The sessions encouraged creative experimentation, conceptual thinking, and craftsmanship, enabling students to translate ideas into tangible prototypes. The workshop successfully enhanced students’ technical skills, material understanding, and design process awareness, making it an enriching learning experience aligned with SDG 4 – Quality Education.
