What is the procedure for Learning Centre (LC) transfer?
Forward duly filled in LC transfer form with enclosures at the beginning of the semester. However, students are requested to note the following:

• No mid semester centre transfer is permitted
• No centre transfer is permitted within a city
• Transfer from one LC to another for foreign nationals is not permitted

What is the procedure for an Indian student who wants to appear for examinations at an overseas centre?
The student may appear for the examination from an overseas centre by obtaining permission from the Directorate of Distance Education.

Important Note:

• The session is different in India (August and February) and Overseas (April and October). Hence, the student studying in Fall Session in India (i.e., Session started in August) will be required to complete the same by appearing in the examination in India in January. The student may request to appear in an overseas centre in the March/ April Examination (at overseas exam centre) instead of appearing in India in January, but the student is required to submit the Re-sitting application form for March/ April Examinations from an overseas LC by paying necessary fee as applicable for overseas students. However, if a student has appeared in the examinations held in India in January, then he will not be permitted to appear as a Re-sitting candidate in a foreign centre in March/ April of the same year.
• To obtain an Examination Centre transfer, the student has to apply using the format provided on the website with the necessary fee as prescribed towards transfer along with a requisition letter giving the details of the month of shifting, address, centre to which transfer is desirable, etc.

If a student desires to continue the studies of further semesters overseas, the student may note that there is a possibility that the subject contents applicable to foreign/ overseas centres may vary. Hence, the student will be required to cover the same if he joins the overseas centre. Should the student desire to transfer overseas to continue further studies, he will be required to forward the Learning Centre transfer request form along with the identity card (old) for replacement along with a copy of his latest passport size photograph and a specimen signature for issue of a new identity card.
